Primary Purpose: Under supervision of the principal provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office. Education / Certification:
  • High School Diploma or GED. Special Knowledge / Skills: Proficient keyboarding skills. Experience using Microsoft Office to include Word, and Excel. Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow written instructions. Ability to operate a multi-line phone system. Basic math skills. Experience / Other Requirements:
  • Three years of clerical / office experience, preferably in a public education environment. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Reception and Phones Answer all incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff. Greet and direct campus visitors. Handle upset patrons/parents in a professional manner as needed. Assist parents in checking students in and out of school. Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries. Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials. Other Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc. Prepare correspondence, forms, reports, information packets, etc. as needed. Maintain computerized files using personal computer, including reports, employee roster, and mailing lists. Performs routine bookkeeping tasks for the campus as needed. Assist with the scheduling of teacher conferences. Provide clerical assistance as needed. Maintain confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned. Responsible for properly maintaining district records, adhering to all policies set forth by the district for records maintenance ad learning the records retention schedule for department records. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Equipment Used: Personal computer, printer, calculator, copier, fax machine, and shredder.
