Please note: Positions are available at Canyon HS, Canyon Lake HS, and Smithson Valley HS.

 

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the set-up and technical operations for events held at the High School Performing Arts Center

 

 

Education / Certification:

  1. Must be a current student at Canyon High School, Canyon Lake High School, or Smithson Valley High School.

 

Experience / Other Requirements

  1. Technical Theatre Class work or related experience is required.

 

Special Knowledge / Skills:

  1. Ability to hook up microphones, patch and operate levels on soundboard.
  2. Ability to play music through sound system from various components.
  3. Ability to program cues, patch and operate the light board.
  4. Ability to manipulate curtains and other back stage headsets, etc.

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Set up all technical needs prior to the event start.
  2. Monitor patron entrance to the facility to ensure safety and professional demeanor.
  3. Assist with handicapped patrons.
  4. Operate lights/sounds/curtains during the event.
  5. Maintain professional appearance.
  6. Assist with end of event strike.
  7. Assist with any emergency procedures.
  8. Other duties as may be assigned.

Equipment Used:
Basic Office equipment (computer, copier, etc.), Stage Lighting, Stage Sound, and Communication Equipment.
